Brandon Mecham, DPM
As a hospitalist and board-certified foot and ankle specialist seeing patients in the East Valley, Dr. Mecham has over six years of podiatry experience. His expertise includes advanced training in reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery, sports medicine, arthroscopy, external fixation and diabetic care/limb salvage.
Born and raised in Mesa, he completed his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University and then went on to attend the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class. He completed a surgical residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. Published in multiple journals, he is currently working on a research project focusing on developing new postoperative pain management protocols without the use of narcotic pain medications.
Dr. Mecham’s focus is on the correction of the underlying problem as a way to relieve painful symptoms. He believes that early detection and treatment is the key to faster and better outcomes, and he remains focused on helping patients get back to their everyday activities as soon as possible. He is excited to be back home practicing in the Valley.
Dr. Mecham is a fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Arizona Podiatric Medical Association.
