Jeffrey T. Abildgaard, MD
Dr. Abildgaard is a fellowship trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty in sports medicine. He specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee including reconstructive procedures, tendon/ligament reconstruction, and cartilage restoration. Dr. Abildgaard received his medical degree from Loma Linda University and completed his orthopedic residency at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix. He supplemented his training with a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Reconstruction at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas in Greenville, South Carolina.
Dr. Abildgaard enjoys caring for athletes of all ages and skill levels. He has provided care for athletes at the high school, college, and professional level, including Arizona State University, North Greenville University, the Greenville Drive (Boston RedSox affiliate), the Colorado Rockies and members of the US Ski and Snowboard Teams. Additionally, Dr. Abildgaard is active in research and is currently a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery (AAOS).
